This co-operative winery consists of 19 grapegrowers and a winemaker, and is on the forefront of new initiatives, including an effort to sell Ontario’s terroir. This is a very fine effort that starts out with a chemical note but settles down to stonefruits, grass, mineral and a whiff of tar. Somewhat understated on the palate, with apple/lemon flavour, crisp acidity and mellow finish. Partner with fish stews, pork dishes or smoked salmon. (LCBO 60707)
