Wine of the Week for September 17, 2007

Concha y Toro Chardonnay 2006 - $11.95
Style; W1
Chile

I love the slightly "skunky" aroma from French oak coupled with chardonnay. Add in lemon, oak, and mineral and you've got an appealing profile. The palate is creamy, round and tasty, with a soft acidity, and a toasty baked apple flavour. Somewhat on the light side, but overall a very good effort. Try with chicken Kiev or egg dishes.
